Another announcement!

Chad (Lexi's bro) and Shawna are engaged! We are big Shawna fans around here and have been eagerly awaiting this!

Chad went to Amarillo to visit Shawna last weekend and took her to Palo Duro Canyon to pop the question. The pictures are great! She is in Amarillo until May doing an internship to complete her Grad school studies. Oh yeah, Chad designed the ring using a ring from our Dad's family. Pretty cool!

Official Announcement

So... Ella is going to be a big sister! That's right, we are pregnant with our second kiddo - due in August.

Announcing such news via electronic media is not our first choice, but since we are 14 weeks along and have yet to spread the news to many of our dear friends, I figured we better let you all know one way or another. We made the announcement to our families last month. In fact, we told Paul's family at the same time his sister announced she is pregnant, too. Our babies are due 6 days apart!

Ella is excited to have a baby bro/sis and has helped us with sharing the news. The pregnancy has been mostly uneventful and I am feeling well. Again, forgive me for the less than personal announcement!

Then and now...

I'm looking forward to blogging regularly, but need to post a quick story before I forget. It is just a great illustration of my place in life...

I generally switch the car stereo from "Disc" (children's music) to "FM" when I drop Ella off at MDO Tues/Thurs mornings. I'm always just in time to hear the "Class Reunion" show on my favorite station. They highlighted 1990 (or so) the other day. The glory days of Middle School. I found myself singing along to "Love Shack". Except I don't think the lyrics are actually "Hurry up and bring your JUICE box money".
